With spring and summer just around the corner it’s time you planned your family holiday.

You don’t necessarily have to venture far for your break as the UK has much to offer. Pack your bags and grab your bikes, here are five destinations we think your family would enjoy.

The Lake District

The Lake District, located in North West England, is known for its crystal clear waters, rugged mountains and quaint little towns.

From B&Bs to campsites there is a wide range of accommodation available here to suit your needs.

With much to see the best way to ensure you can fit it all in is on bike. With various routes and paths, you can explore the rolling hills and forests at your own pace. Grab an ice cream at Abbot Lodge or race the kids up Skedaddle Hill. No matter the activity you can enjoy it in a breath-taking setting.

Centre Parcs

Centre Parcs has five different locations around the UK. No matter which you choose for your stay there are plenty of fun activities for the whole family.

From bustling bike rides in the forest to rock climbing and even getting up close and personal with a few furry friends, this place has it all.

Your accommodation is within walking distance to the activities. Whether you prefer a treehouse or executive cabin, they range in comfort, size and price depending on the experience you desire.

Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park

Whether you prefer to keep your feet firmly on land or want to try your hand at watersports, there is much to offer here. Located in the West of Scotland you can choose to walk, cycle or even explore on horseback following different routes around the park.

Enjoy idyllic views of Britain’s largest body of freshwater and take in the clear Scottish air. With activities for families and all capabilities this break could be as relaxed or action-packed as you please.

Snowdonia National Park

Located in North West Wales, Snowdonia National Park has seven tailor made family friendly cycle routes scattered throughout the park exploring abandoned railway lines, flourishing forests and the shadows at the foot of Snowdonia.

Surrounded by several small villages there are plenty options for accommodation. Discover Welsh food, fishing and heritage in spectacular surroundings.

Cornwall

Possibly one of our warmer suggestions, located in the South West of England you’re more likely (still not guaranteed) to see the sun on this trip.

Cycle along the coast and enjoy the sea air, visit historic landmarks such as Doyden and Tintagel Castle or the ancient harbours of Cornwall.

Meander through the peaceful countryside passing through small villages, maybe enjoy a pasty or two.

From farm holiday cottages to rustic B&Bs, Cornwall gives you a peaceful break and you really will feel like you’ve left the UK.
